Hello again! I know it's been a while! We've been SO busy lately that I have not had time to even think about blogging! Well here is an update on mini coop's progress. He/she is just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a lime, is now almost fully formed. His/her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under his/her gums, and some of his/her bones are beginning to harden.
He/she's already busy kicking and stretching, and the tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as his/her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that the diaphragm is forming.
We're definately cookin a baby! lol Now about mommy. I'm feeling alot better. I had a few weeks with horrible nausea. I've learned that if I get up and immediately eat i'm fine for the rest of the day. My energy has come back for the most part. I still get sleepy, but I am much more productive now than I have been! I can finally start to eat well balanced meals now. For a while it was mashed potatoes, pasta, and mac and cheese! I'm starting to get a bump so I will start posting "baby bump" pictures soon! I went to the doctor on September 6th for my 10 week check-up. The doctor brought in his device to hear the baby's heartbeat. Thats all that was happening on this check-up. He moved it all around my belly and couldn't find the heartbeat. I didn't get worried because he assured me this was common. So lucky for me I got to go and get another ultrasound! Yay! Mini Coop was hiding down low in my uterus and thats why we couldnt hear the heartbeat. We got a good report. Strong, fast heartbeat! I couldn't believe how much he/she had grown in such a short amount of time! It actually looks like a baby now :) We go back on October 4th for our next check-up. We should find out what is the first week of November! Yay! I'll see ya next time!
